Terms of Service

Welcome to Ananda Gratitude Journal (“Ananda”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
By downloading, accessing, or using the Ananda mobile or web application (the “App”) you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create or use an account. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement and that you can form a binding contract with us under applicable law.
2. Your Account
- Sign-in Options. You may sign in with Apple ID, Google, or continue anonymously.
- Security. Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Anonymous Accounts. Anonymous data is stored locally and may be lost if you delete the App or switch devices.
3. Your Content
“Content” means any text, images, voice notes, or other material you input into Ananda.
- You retain ownership of your Content.
- By syncing through Firebase you grant us a non-exclusive, encrypted, and solely to provide the service license to store and serve your Content back to you.
- We never sell or share your journal entries with advertisers.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable law;
- Upload content that is unlawful, hateful, or infringes anyone else’s rights;
- Reverse-engineer or interfere with the App or its servers;
- Use automated scripts to collect information or otherwise interact with the App in a way that burdens our infrastructure.
5. Subscription & Fees
The current version of Ananda is free. We may introduce optional paid features (“Prime”) in the future. If we do, separate pricing and terms will be presented before you subscribe.
6. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect information.
7. Disclaimers
- We provide the App “as is” without warranties of any kind.
- Journaling is a personal well-being tool, not a substitute for professional mental-health or medical advice.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ananda shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the App.
9. Termination
You may stop using Ananda at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. We will notify you of material changes in-app or by other reasonable means. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Maharashtra, India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
